Frequently asked questions
Customers with a Relativity Server license can continue to use Server for new matters and workspaces until December 31, 2027. We recommend every organization begin building a transition plan so you’re prepared for all new matters and workspaces to be hosted in Relativity aiR in 2028.
Existing Server matters and workspaces will continue to be supported in Server. While new feature updates won’t be delivered to Server, it will continue to receive maintenance updates and security patches.
We believe our AI-powered, cloud-based platform, Relativity aiR, enables us to better serve evolving legal data challenges with the scale and innovation the market now demands.

No, there is no current plan to discontinue Relativity Server. Existing matters will remain fully supported, and Server will receive maintenance updates and security patches.
Yes. Beginning January 1, 2028, all instances must be upgraded to the then-current version of Relativity Server. As a reminder, our Upgrade Readiness program – available as part of your license – provides resources to support a smooth transition.
